Built like a race car, because it is a race car. We're not trying to compete with the other big brands: the D1 is a purpose-built race car with a 4130 steel tube-frame chassis, and wishbones and uprights designed from 8mm steel plate. At the same time, the D1 is built around easy-to-obtain off-the-shelf parts, like Landcruiser hubs, rotors and wheels, letting anyone play with a proper off-road race car.

The glorious Hayabusa engine from Suzuki puts out 195hp naturally aspirated, revving to 10,000 rpm. It's the engine of choice in off-road buggies and even circuit racing cars all over the world. Proven reliability, a compact package, and incredible power for its size. In a car that weighs just 1,257 lb, you won't be able to keep your foot flat to the floor for very long.
